Nicola came over to see Jimmy ready to discuss things and take him back, but was shocked to see Gennie sneak out after she had spent the night there, despite nothing untoward happening. Laurel knew that Nicola wanted Jimmy back but Jimmy wasn’t sure of a reconciliation after realising that Nicola was using the same tactics with Angelica that Kelly did with their son Elliott.

Amy continued to plan her secret party for her friends without Val and Eric’s knowledge or consent, unaware that little Belle Dingle had found out about it.

Alicia and Andy flew to Spain but not before she gave Jacob a phone for him to call her when he needed to. But Leyla hid the phone and an angry David found it and told her it wasn’t right or fair of her to keep Jacob from talking to his mother.

Charity tried to muscle in on Jai and Nikhil’s business deals at The Factory but only succeeded in making things worse when she interrupted a business meeting and insulted the man they were planning to make the deal with. Nikhil managed to smooth things over with the associate, but it only made Charity more determined to muscle in and oust Nikhil out.

Laurel remembered that she had spent the £20 that Holly was accused of stealing and the youngster received an apology from both her and Nikhil and was given her job back. She also began a dangerous flirtatious game with Cain while looking to buy a car, which her mother Moira did not like…

Paddy and Adam were called as witnesses for Aaron’s upcoming trial; Paddy for the defence, Adam for the prosecution. Chas was at her wits end after discovering that her son’s barrister had never taken on an assisted suicide case and needed a better QC for him, but couldn’t raise the funds. Overhearing this, Carl asked Scarlett for a loan of £70,000, the cost for a high profile brief which she agreed to and offered the money to Chas.

At first she refused it, knowing that it wasn’t a good idea, but then realised that she had no other option and tried to get Aaron to agreed to the loan, but he refused, saying that he didn’t want her prostituting herself to Carl, a man with whom she has so much history with.

Meanwhile, on visiting Hazel at her home, Chas saw that she had converted it into a shrine to Jackson and the bereaved mum told her that she wasn’t coping. Chas told Aaron, telling him that Hazel needed his help and he promised her that they’d get through it together.
